Gary Legacy

One of the lucky ones Gary was trained personally by Benny Allen in the outdoors of London Ontario. Gary who came from a checkered past found his way in the martial arts. One of the tough guys in the London St. Thomas area Gary started his training with Harold Warden and then changed to training with Benny at Eastern Karate soon after.

Gary was enamored with Benny’s uniqueness and mental flexibility and so much so that he had Benny come to London to teach at his schools on many occasions as well as travelled to Toronto for personal lessons along with his senior students like John Pearson, Merv Sharp and others.

Today Legacy Karate focuses on traditional karate but at its roots still are Eastern Karate and the tenacity it brought.
